This eight-week Friday enrichment class is designed to promote religious literacy by introducing students to the texts, traditions, and practices of major world religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. This is a secular class, emphasizing philosophy and tradition.
In addition to five formal class sessions, this class includes one book club and two movie day sessions. The book club and movie days are optional (and open to students who are not participating in the World Religions class), but we encourage students to attend these sessions if they can since they are set up to complement and deepen topics discussed in class.
FRIDAY POTLUCK STARTS AT 12:30 p.m. ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WELCOME.
